— Careers For Registered Nurses —
We embrace our nurses through a shared sense of purpose in serving others.
For The Love Of Nursing
Sierra View Medical Center knows that nursing is more than just a job. It is a commitment to provide compassionate, quality care for patients each and every day.
In honor of that commitment and dedication, SVMC offers a dynamic and progressive work environment, tuition reimbursement for advanced degrees, and a succession planning program for nurses who wish to become nurse leaders.
We also offer highly competitive salaries, a benefits package that’s unrivaled in the area (retirement plan with up to a 10% match), and a $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified applicants.
SVMC is large enough to provide professional challenges and growth, yet small enough to preserve its unique family culture. We have cultivated an environment that allows our people to flourish and discover their purpose in our mission.
NEW GRAD/NOVICE RN RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™
There is so much to learn as a newly graduated nurse, and opportunities to gain that knowledge in an acute care setting can be difficult to find. The year-long Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™ at SVMC was developed to meet that need and start new nurses off on the path to meet their dreams of a successful and rewarding career.
In the Nurse Residency Program, residents will learn in a mentored and supportive work environment helping to transition them from an advanced beginner nurse to a competent professional nurse. They will enjoy the camaraderie of their fellow residents and begin to develop a network of relationships that will last a lifetime.
The Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™ will improve confidence, competence, communication and other valuable skills. Residents will gain leadership skills, focus on patient safety outcomes and develop as a professional at Sierra View.
To be eligible for the program, the applicant must either:
- Have their RN license from the State of California; or
- Be scheduled to take the NCLEX and have their Interim Permit from the CA Board of Registered Nursing.
This program is a one (1) year Nurse Residency Program with a subsequent minimum of a one (1) year post-nurse residency commitment to SVMC.
