C.T. - M.R.I. Tech Lead

*Shift: 7:00A - 3:30P

POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Imaging and Physical Therapy, Director of Imaging, and in consultation with the Medical Director, the Lead C.T./M.R.I. Radiologic Technologist performs professional duties involved in a variety of Computed Tomography (CT) and/or MRI exams.  Responsible for patient care, comfort and completion of required procedures.  Is responsible for the assessment, treatment or care appropriate to the age of the patients served.  Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs.  Possesses knowledge of growth and development and has an understanding of the range of treatment needed for all patient groups.
 
  •  Responsible for safe radiation protection practices. On call responsibilities may be required.  Must be knowledgeable in the area of patient requirements, especially safety and comfort.  Must be familiar with all types of radiographic equipment and accessories used in the department.  Supervises and schedules technologists to assigned areas.  Is responsible for the assessment, treatment and care of patients, creating the work schedule, QC/QA programs and processes, education and training, ordering supplies, time card approval, evaluations, ensure regulatory agency compliance, and any other duties of daily operations at site(s) by organizing and prioritizing procedures and delegating specific duties to keep patient flow effective and in a timely manner.  Must be competent to deliver care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.  Ensures that the Technologists demonstrate the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs.  Possesses the knowledge of growth and development and have an understanding of the range of treatment needed for all patient groups.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/License/Certification:
  • Must have current California Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist Licensure and ARRT (R.T.)
  • ARRT Certification in C.T. and MRI is highly preferred.
  • ARMRIT Certification is acceptable in place of ARRT MRI Certification.
  • Must have and maintain BLS or obtain within orientation process.
  • Must have and maintain IV Certification or obtain within 6 months of accepting role.

Experience/Skills:
  • Must one (1) year C.T. Experience and one (1) year of M.R.I. Experience.
