Emergency Services Tech - Urgent Care - Per Diem
Must have and maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification or obtain within one year of assignment to department.
Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) performs individually assigned patient care activities based upon established patient care policies and procedures. Specific areas of responsibility include: monitoring of patient vital signs, providing patient hygiene and comfort measures, assisting with medical procedures, fulfilling nutritional needs, Phlebotomy procedures, wound care and splinting, EKG's, unit secretary functions, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) functions, work relating to lab specimens (collection and delivery), and maintenance of a record of the care provided as assigned.
Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours.
