Cardiac Cath Lab - Radiology Tech - Full-time
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence if required. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages if required. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be capable of dealing effectively and ethically with co-workers, physicians, and other Hospital personnel. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills.
Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Imaging and Physical Therapy, Cardiac Cath Lab Director, and in consultation with the Medical Director, the Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Tech performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures and is responsible for all imaging aspects in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Will assist the physician and scrub in, in terms of manifold set up, operation of cardiac output and all modalities of monitoring the patient while in procedure. Responsible for patient care, comfort and completion of required procedures. Is responsible for the assessment, treatment or care appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs. Possesses knowledge of growth and development and has an understanding of the range of treatment needed for all patient groups. Must maintain the department in compliance with rules and regulations set forth by governing agencies.
Responsible for various clerical and Quality Assurance duties as assigned. On call responsibilities required when need is determined by the department. Follows AIDET and accepts reassignment and additional duties, when necessary, in a flexible and positive manner.
Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours.
