Seasonal Agreement Requirements:
- Individual will work an 8 or 13-week seasonal assignment.
- Individual is required to work 5 scheduled shifts per week.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Under the direction/supervision of the Unit Director, Clinical Manager or RN Charge Nurse with minimal supervision, the Registered Nurse First Assistant is a Perioperative nurse who works in collaboration with the surgeon and other health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. During the assisting phase and until conclusion of the operative procedure the R.N.F.A. is under the direction of the Surgeon. As needed, the R.N.F.A. may provide patient care by circulating or scrubbing surgical procedures or cleaning operatories. The Registered Nurse First Assistant is credentialed through the medical staff as allied health provider.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/License/Certification:
- Must have current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Must have and maintain CNOR Certification,
- Must have and maintain current BLS Certification
- Must have and maintain ACLS Certification
- Must have proof of malpractice insurance
- Must have one (1) year experience as a RN First Assistant
